MY LIFE IN PHOTOS - WEDDING
Blanche, my bride, on our wedding day, June 21, 1969.
Our wedding took place at Rudi’s house. It was one of his endless gifts to us. Here she is posing in front of one of his museum-quality Tibetan statues. Minutes later we would be husband and wife.
Our wedding was held in Rudi’s classroom under a Jewish Hoopa, in front of a massive Buddha and surrounded by dancing Shivas. We had a Rabbi, a cantor and a sitar player as part of the ceremony. Very ecumenical.

Bruce with George and Cheryl. I think the fist sends the wrong message. I am endlessly grateful to them for introducing me to Blanche.
Rudi and me. It is the only photo I have of us together. I’m just grateful it captures so much happiness.
Our sit-down dinner was provided by Rudi and all of our fellow students. Rudi assigned food preparation to everyone in the class, just pointing to everyone and saying, chicken, fish, vegetables, deserts. It was a banquet like none I’ve ever seen. Visible on the left are Chuck HIisch, Brian de Palma and David Bienstock, and on the right Bob Fiore and Debbie Freedman.
Another shot of the dinner. It should be noted that there were also relatives and fellow students.
My brother Gary, far left next to my sister Marci. Thane, a former brother-in-law and Steve, a former boyfriend of my sisters, are in the center. Rudi is on the right. The statues behind them (mostly cut off) are now in the Natural History Museum in NYC.

Family posing. From left to right, my brother Gary, my oldest friend Mark, me, my sister’s boyfriend Steve, Marci and my mom.

A family gathering the day after the wedding at Blanche’s and my new Bowrey Street apartment at 2 East 2nd St. Too many people to mention but a truly joyful crowd.

A smaller family photo at 2E2 (as we called it). Gary, my mom and dad, Marci, me, and Blanche.
